TOYOTA 86 at AMLUX in Ikebukuro

On the platform number 3 and 4 in Ikebukuro station, there is a hot dog stand, "Hotdog 59."  If you are a bit hungry before you leave the station, stop by here.

This stand can serve you a hot dog in 59 seconds, so it is called as "Hotdog 59."

Right - 59 dog, 220 JPY

The sausage is very juicy and crispy, and you can choose the bread from Semi-hard roll and Multi grain roll.

OK, let's go to the main purpose in Ikebukuro.

Today's entertainment is Amlux!

AMLUX is a composite word of AUTOMOBILE and LUXE combined.  This is Toyota's automobile showroom of five floors with hands-on attractions and original games.

You can enjoy and learn the whole Toyota cars and its technologies.  Amlux is like a Toyota museum.

Toyota's new hybrid car, AQUA. It is said that the compact gas-electric is expected to carry a fuel economy rating of 40 kilometers per liter (94 miles per gallon U.S.) AQUA is called as Prius c in the U.S., and now Prius Family is very popular.

And this is the most popular car in Amlux, Toyota 86.

Toyota 86 is a sports car developed jointly by Toyota and Subaru.  As a six-speed manual transmission is mounted, this car's design and technology give a driver greater control, while body's lightness and low center of gravity allow race car-like handling.

Toyota 86 was created under two missions.  Mission one - make the driver's position as low as possible, even 1mm.  Mission two - gather the best that advanced modern technology in Japan.

The driver can put his cigarette out on the ground in his seat.  Isn't is cool?

Opening from 11:00 to 19:00, closed on Mondays (and Tuesdays if Monday is a national holiday) and year-end to New Year's Day.  Free of charge.

Experience Japan!
