Meiji Jingu (Shirne) Gaien - Ginkgo Trees

Meiji Jingu is the Shinto shrine which is dedicated to the defined spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, and was built with donation and volunteering by the Japanese people in 1926.  Gaien is the outer precinct of Meiji Jingu.  It has a gallery and various sports facilities, including the National Stadium.

Meiji Jingu Gaien is also famous for Ginkgo trees in fall.

Leaves on the ground seems yellow carpet all over!

Many people visit Gaien to see the yellow leaves.

You can see the Ginkgo yellow leaves from end of November to beginning of December.  So today, most of the leaves are fallen.

Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery is at the end of Ginkgo tree road.

Let's take a rest at a cafe after a walk... or taste sweet potato!
